Women March in London and across UK: how to get involved in 2017 protest against Donald trump

Tomorrow, Donald Trump will be sworn in as President of the United States after a campaign that divided America and the world.
His campaign was marked by a number of sexist comments he made about women and the release of an unforgettable video where he spoke about grabbing women 'by the pussy'.
This sparked international anger and as the President-Elect prepares to be sworn in, women across the globe are preparing to march.
This Saturday, women in London and across the UK will march against Trump in an attempt to beat race and promote gender issues.
Women's Marches are set to happen in unprecedented numbers in over 30 countries.
No matter your gender, here's what you can do to get involved.

Why are women marching?

Women are marching to promote human rights and equality issues.
And while the event is taking place the day after Donald Trump's inauguration, its not all about him.
The event organisers told the BBC that 2017 is a "tipping point" in people's involvement in social issues.
And Donald Trump is only part of the problem.

Is it just for women?

No, despite being called the Women's March, organisers have said that everyone is welcome.
This is about women's rights, which everyone should be an advocate of, say the organisers on their website. The march is for people of all genders.

When is the march?

This Saturday, January 21, 12 noon,

Where does it start?

The march is planned to start at Grosvenor Square, London, W1A - right outside the US embassy.

Who's going to be there?

Pixie Geldof and Alexa Chung are just two of the celebrities who are planning to show up to the march in support. https://www.instagram.com/p/BPNyhRMAm8Q/embed Actor Ian McKellan, famous for his role as Gandalf, took to Twitter to encourage people to join the protest.
Over 17,000 people have signed up to attend the march on its organiser's website and more are expected to turn up on the day.

What's the route?

The routes stretches over two miles from Mayfair to Trafalgar Square.
Protesters will curve around Hyde Park before moving onto Green Park, St. James' Street and along Pall Mall. The route then loops around Trafalgar Square before finishing at Waterloo Place.

Who else is marching?

Don't worry, it's not just London kicking up a fuss. Demonstrations and protests have sprung up all across the UK.
You can join a sister march in Bangor, Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Shipley, Southampton, St Austell or York.
There's also the march on Washington, which the London march is in support of. A massive 200,000 people are set to attend.
There are also marches in India, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France and Germany.

What should I bring?

A coat, but maybe not an umbrella. The weather is set to be cold but dry.
Banners, signs and megaphones are encouraged. Inventive slogans will earn you extra points.
Some women have already taken to Twitter using the hashtag #MarchingShoes to show off the boots they plan to wear on Saturday.

How can I get involved?

The best way to get involved in to turn up and march.
But if you can't make it on the day, you can show your support on social media. You can attend the event on Facebook and cheer on marchers via their Twitter page.
Happy marching.

Fela's son, Seun was pictured smoking weed with Bob Marley's son, Damian. hopefully they are only sharing inspiration from the same source, as they might be releasing a song soon.

Nigerian musician, Oluseun Anikulapo who now leads his the band his father created before he died, Egypt 80 , recently shared a photo he took with Jamaican reggae artist, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, who also happens to be the the offspring of another music legend, Bob Marley.

The picture has now raised expectation in the mind of music fans in the country, who are hoping that perhaps a song would be released by the duo in the coming months.

This is not the first time the G-Worldwide singer will be involved in a mushy tune. ' Upon me' with Kiss Daniel has its own fair share of love and romance.
